Thomas A. Bailey of Kirkwood died at home on Friday, May 30, 2014. He was 66.
Mr. Bailey was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Benjamin W. and Ethel Thomas Bailey. He lived in Oxford before moving to Kirkwood. Patty B. Massey of Kirkwood died at home on Friday, October 25, 2013.
She was 67. Mrs. Massey was born in Richlands, Va., a daughter of the late Roy and Ruby Gambill Looney. She lived in West Grove before moving to Kirkwood. ![]() Arthur Eugene Tuinstra of Kirkwood died at home on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. He was 72. Mr. Tuinstra was born in Havertown, a son of Mary Blake Tuinstra of Malvern and the late Arthur Tuinstra. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. ![]() Nevin R. "Bud" Shaffer of New Providence died at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy, on Saturday, October 5, 2013. He was 80. Mr. Shaffer was born in Cumberland, Md., a son of the late Allen and Lucy Bryant Shaffer. In his younger years, he played trumpet in a Salvation Army band. He also served as a bell ringer and a youth director in Arlington, Va. He worked as a mechanical engineer in Port Deposit, Md., designing parts for tug boats and cranes. He also worked for the Blind Association, Herr and Company, and Willow Valley. Mr. Shaffer had been a member of Colerain Baptist Church, Kirkwood. ![]() Thomas W. Parker Sr. of Sproul Rd., Kirkwood, died at home of natural causes on Friday, June 28, 2013. He was 66. Mr. Parker was born in Darby, a son of the late Edward R. and Marie McNeil Parker. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Army. He was a plumber and pipefitter who last worked for his son's business, Parker Welding. Mr. Parker was a member of the Atglen Gun Club and the Southern Lancaster County Farmer Sportsmen's Association. |
