Thomas W. Parker Sr. of Sproul Rd., Kirkwood, died at home of natural causes on Friday, June 28, 2013. He was 66. Mr. Parker was born in Darby, a son of the late Edward R. and Marie McNeil Parker. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Army. He was a plumber and pipefitter who last worked for his son's business, Parker Welding. Mr. Parker was a member of the Atglen Gun Club and the Southern Lancaster County Farmer Sportsmen's Association. He enjoyed trap shooting, sporting clays, surf fishing, hunting, working in his yard, train collecting, and restoring his army truck. Mr. Parker is survived by his wife of 45 years, Geraldine A. Cook Parker; two children, Thomas W. Jr., husband of Kathy Parker of Millington, Md., and Christine Jennifer, wife of Randy Z. Jackson of Peach Bottom; six grandchildren; two brothers, Edward R. Jr., husband of Patricia Parker of Georgetown and James E., husband of Karen Parker of Chestertown, Md.; and his sister, Marion, wife of Boyd Hemphill of Montgomery, Ala. Friends may call at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, 144 E. State St., Quarryville, from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3. Services will be held from the funeral home at 2 p.m. on that date with the Rev. Robert Yohe officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery.
