Founded by H. James Wolf in 1989, Octoraro Publishing Company currently prints The Southern Lancaster County Chronicle. The Rising Sun Herald was the first publication printed by Octoraro Publishing, which was closed in December 2018.

The Chronicle is a weekly tabloid paper, published each Tuesday, and is available on newsstands throughout Southern Lancaster County, PA, Chester County, PA and Cecil County, MD.

The Chronicle contains local news, school news, church news, police and fire, community news, local sports, obituaries, specialty columns, and classified advertising.
