Joan Anne Raynor of Peach Bottom Rd., Peach Bottom, died at home on Monday, February 10, 2014. She was 79. Mrs. Raynor was born in Coram, N.Y., a daughter of the late Christian Nicholas Rudolph and the late Annie Marie Lyon Wittschack. Timothy P. Ewaka of Nottingham died at home on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. He was 70. Mr. Ewaka was born in New Kensington, a son of the late Michael and Libbie Skula Ewaka. He worked as a paper maker for the Kimberly Clark Corporation. Mr. Ewaka was a member of Wrightsdale Baptist Church. He was active in local politics. Jay Maurice Kendig II of Mount Joy died at Lancaster General Hospital on Friday, February 14, 2014. He was 65.
Mr. Kendig was a son of the late Helen and Jay Maurice Kendig. Richard F. "Dick" Miller of Quarryville died at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community on Sunday, February 16, 2014. He was 85. Mr. Miller was born in Lancaster, a son of the late Vernon and Dora Shank Miller. He lived in Cochranville before moving to Quarryville. Rose Marie Wiley Musser of Willow Street died on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. She was 62.
Mrs. Musser was born in Texas, a daughter of Sarah M. Wiley of Lancaster. Mary L. Neff of Rising Sun, Md., died at Calvert Manor Nursing Home, Rising Sun, on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. She was 96.
Mrs. Neff was born in Nottingham, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Fitzgerald Sherrer. She lived in West Grove before moving to Rising Sun. George R. Morris of Peach Bottom died in Lancaster on Friday, February 14, 2014. He was 68.
Mr. Morris was born in Virginia, a son of the late Olin and Pauline Hamilton Morris. Elsie Elizabeth Thornton of the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community died on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Mrs. Thornton was born in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Arthur and Viola Fox Hare. She had been a resident of the retirement community for almost 10 years. Adelaide Stewart Kelley of Bartville died at home under hospice care on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. She was 98. Mrs. Kelley was born in Colerain Township, a daughter of the late James and Katherine Scott Stewart. She and her husband ran a dairy farm and raised five children. After retiring from farming, the couple moved to Quarryville and Mrs. Kelley began working as a nurse's aide at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. She retired from that job when she was 76. |
