Levi E. Glick of 418 Furnace Rd., Quarryville, died at home on Monday, November 18, 2013.
He was 61. Mr. Glick was born in West Earl Township, a son of the late David and Bena Stoltzfus Glick. Stephen W. Sizemore of Brabson Ln., Peach Bottom, died at Lancaster General Hospital on Sunday, November 17, 2013, following a long battle with lung disease. He was 53. Mr. Sizemore was born in Lancaster, a son of Robert C. and Miriam M. Creter Sizemore of Peach Bottom. He worked as a welder for Buck Iron Co. for 33 years before retiring on disability in 2012. Mr. Sizemore was an avid truck and car enthusiast who enjoyed working on vehicles, following NASCAR, and going to car shows. He also enjoyed going to Green Dragon with his sister, Patti Jo. Bonnie W. Herr of The Glen at Willow Valley died on Monday, November 18, 2013. She was 95. Mrs. Herr was born in Fleetwood, N.C., a daughter of the late Judson E. and Effie Smith Wagner. She lived in Kirkwood before moving to Willow Valley. She graduated from Quarryville High School and continued her studies at Goldey Beacom College in Delaware. Mrs. Herr worked as executive secretary for the former Quarryville National Bank and helped her husband on the family farm. Sharon L. Helsel Brenchley of New Providence died at home on Sunday, November 17, 2013. She was 65. Mrs. Brenchley was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Earl W. and Marjorie L. Miller Helsel. She worked in the family's trucking business, managing the office and riding with her husband and two sons. Mrs. Brenchley attended Byerland Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday School. Mary Urbano of Quarryville died on Sunday, November 10, 2013. She was 82. Mrs. Urbano was born in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Henry and Concetta DiMarco Selvaggi. She worked as an aide at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Mrs. Urbano enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Quarryville. Grace D. Murphy Payne of the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community died on Monday, November 11, 2013. She was 85.
Mrs. Payne was born in White Horse, a daughter of the late Aurl and Stella Myers Murphy. She was a housekeeper. She also managed the Strasburg Laundromat and Car Wash until she retired. Betty J. Musselman of Willow Street died at Berkshire Center, Reading, on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. She was 88. Mrs. Musselman was born in Holtwood, a daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Weitzel Stoner. She lived in Holtwood before moving to Willow Street. During World War II, she worked for the Hamilton Watch Company in Lancaster. She was a member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church. David J. Frampton of West Grove died on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. He was 53.
Mr. Frampton was born in West Grove, a son of David M. and Agnes Corby Frampton of Quarryville. David will be remembered for his great sense of humor and dedication to his family. He was a fan of all types of sports. David’s request is that everyone enjoy their ride on the yellow submarine. Laura M. Johnson of Main St., Conestoga, died at home on Friday, November 15, 2013. She was 68. Mrs. Johnson was born in Drumore Township, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Isabel Deaver Tollinger. She worked at Herr Snack Foods, Nottingham, for 30 years before retiring. She had also worked as a waitress for the former Robert Fulton Inn. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Little Britain Presbyterian Church, the Kutztown Rod & Gun Club, and the auxiliaries of the Fleetwood Fire Co. and the Lyons Fire Co. Grace Ann Flahart of New Providence died on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. She was 87. Mrs. Flahart was born in East Drumore Township, a daughter of the late Parke C. and Orella Moss Eshleman. She graduated from Drumore and Quarryville high schools. Mrs. Flahart was a member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church. She was a school bus driver. |
