Clayton L. “Clayt” Frackman, age 90, of Willow Valley Communities and formerly of Strasburg passed away peacefully at the Glen at Willow Valley on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He and his wife Joyce E. Reinfried Frackman celebrated 70 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Mable Winters Frackman. Clayt was an active and lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church of Strasburg where he participated in the Young at Heart Sunday School class, Men’s Prayer Breakfast and served as an Elder, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher and Junior High Youth leader. A life long butcher, he was a partner in F & S Meats which later became Frack’s Meats. He served his country proudly in the US Army during the Korean War.
Clayt was a member of the Paul R. Strubel VFW Post 8710 and a former member of Meadia Heights Golf Club. Clayt was known for his frequent Letters to the Editor in the Lancaster Newspaper. He is survived by a daughter Denise wife of Daniel Holton of Conestoga; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 sons in law, Steve Fisher and Daniel Cooper; and a sister Diane Wertz of Strasburg. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa Fisher and Karen Cooper. Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Strasburg, 101 South Decatur Street, Strasburg, PA on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11:00 with Rev. Robert K. Bronkema officiating. The family will receive friends informally following the service. Interment will be in Riverview Burial Park, 1200 South Duke Street, Lancaster, PA on Monday at 11:00AM. Kindly omit flowers.
