Otis L. Harrison of Strasburg died at home on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. He was 92. Mr. Harrison was born in Dinwidde, Va., a son of the late John and Otelia Barnes Harrision. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy and participated in the D-Day landing in Normandy. He was a lumber salesman who worked in the mid-Atlantic region for many years. Mr. Harrison was an active member of the Slumbering Groundhog Lodge, White Rock, Masonic Lodge 151, Franklin, Va., and a charter member of the Tanglewood Manor Golf Club. He worshiped at Ed Redentor and St. Paul's Lancaster United Methodist Church. Mr. Harrison is survived by three children, Bradley K., husband of Kathy Harrison of Unionville, Otis L. II, husband of Tammy Harrison of Strasburg, and Lynn Harrison Dyer of Boynton Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, Christie, Rick, Andrew, Kayla, Brandon, and Taylor; a great-grandson, Brayden; and a sister, June Fox of Capron, Va.
His wife, Carolyn Haslett Harrison, died in 2006. Ten siblings are also deceased. Friends may call at Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, 227 W. 4th St., Quarryville, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 13. Services will be held from the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. on that date. Private burial was in Conestoga Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Folds of Honor Foundation, 5800 N.
