Martin Z. Nolt, 90, of Peach Bottom, passed away peacefully at his home on August 2, 2018. Martin was born on June 11, 1928 to the late Amos and Ada (Zimmerman) Nolt, formerly of Talmage, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva (Weaver) Nolt on June 23, 2014. Martin and Eva were married on October 20, 1951. He was also preceded in death by his son, Glen and two grandsons on May 23, 2012, an infant son, Jay, and a sister, Mabel Nolt. Martin was a farmer and a member of Bethel Mennonite Church. Martin and Eva enjoyed many years of service in Numidia Mennonite Bible School as cooks for the students and staff and many visitors. Martin is survived by 3 sons: Nelson, husband of Ruth Ann (Allgyer) Nolt of Womelsdorf; Myron, husband of Sally (Hostetter) Nolt of Peach Bottom; Nevin, husband of Wanda (Zimmerman) Nolt of Peach Bottom; 2 daughters: Linda, wife of Clair Lapp of Peach Bottom; Eva Jane, wife of Nelson Neuenschwander of Lititz; a daughter-in-law, Debbie (Martin), wife of the late Glen Nolt of Peach Bottom; 38 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 2 sisters: Amos Jr., husband of Elizabeth (Martin) Nolt of Peach Bottom; Elmer, husband of Minerva (Weaver) Nolt of Talmage; Aaron, husband of Loretta (Zimmerman) Nolt of Ephrata; Vera, wife of Jeremiah Sensenig of Quarryville; and Pauline, wife of Landis Weaver of Quarryville.
Funeral services will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church, Robert Fulton Hwy., on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing at the church on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Comments are closed.
