Lloyd Herr Kreider, 96, of Kirkwood, passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. Born in East Petersburg, he was the son of Elmer and Anna Mary (Herr) Kreider. Lloyd was the husband of Miriam (Hess) Kreider for 16 years. He was a retired dairy farmer and volunteered for many years at Camp Andrews. Lloyd was a member of Oak Shade Mennonite Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Wilmer (Arlene Kurtz) Kreider, James (Linda Martin) Kreider, Margie (Jere Martin), and Paul (Janice Hershey) Kreider. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and brothers: Frank, Norman, John, and Clyde Kreider. He was preceded in death a wife, Anna Hostetter Kreider; a wife, Ruth Byler Kreider; a son, Jay Kreider; a granddaughter, Kimberly Kurtz Kreider and siblings: Elva Breneman, Mervin Kreider, Esther Siegrist, Edith Denlinger, Elmer Kreider and Harold Kreider. A funeral service will take place at Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Hwy., Quarryville on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
Viewings will be held at the church on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and also from 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday. Interment will follow the service in the Mechanic Grove Mennonite Cemetery.
