John B. Thompson, 90, of West Grove, entered into rest on March 1, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. Born in Cranford, NJ, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Barlow) Thompson. He and his wife, Joyce (Harris) Thompson had celebrated 63 years of marriage in July. John graduated from A.I. DuPont High School and went on to graduate from Penn State with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He worked and retired from the dairy industry, specializing in Guernsey cattle. He was a faithful 50 year member of the New London Lodge # 545, F&AM, where he had served as a Past Master. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of John’s passions was working in his garden. Some of his fondest memories were from spending time with his wife in Alaska. Surviving besides his wife is a daughter, Elaine, wife of William Nicholl of Little Britain, 7 grandchildren; Andrea, Michele, Stephanie, Susie, Andrew, Angela and David and 11 great grandchildren; Brenden, Ryleigh, Haley, Mia, Ben, Ethan, Payten, Mia Michele, Garrett, Emmy and Abby. He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney, 2 infant children; Kathryn and Robert, a granddaughter Kelly Lynn Thompson and sisters; Susan Thompson and Katherine McLean.
Services will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1443 Telegraph Road, West Chester, PA on Saturday, March 5, 2016 beginning with Masonic Services at 10:30 A.M. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M.
