James W. “Jim” Wooldridge, 71, of Nottingham, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Pocahontas, Virginia, he was the son of the late Jay and Cleo Wooldridge. He was married to Phyllis (Neff) Wooldridge for 17 years. Jim was an assembly line worker for General Motors. After his retirement, he stayed busy by helping at Don Lefever’s Garage in Quarryville. He also enjoyed gardening and working on his 1956 Ford Pick-up. Jim loved spending time with his grand children and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by 3 daughters: Mary Louise Lewis of Nottingham; Betty, wife of Garry Johnson of Holtwood; and Judy Rodriguez of Texas, two stepchildren, Ronald Neff and Michelle Reifsnyder. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way and sisters: Lois, Shirley, Wanda, Phyllis and Wilma. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles and a sister, Arlene.
Jim’s funeral service will take place at Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Hwy., Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Misty Wintsch officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing at the church from 11-12:30 p.m. Kindly omit flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17602.
