James F. Good, age 78, of Lancaster, passed away at his home on Monday, January 15, 2024. He was the husband of Linda M. Brooks Good, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage on July 20th. He was born in Lancaster, son of the late Charles & Miriam Shertz Good. He worked as a lineman for Bell Telephone and then retired from Verizon in 2000. He then worked for LEPCO in the receiving department for 11 years. He graduated from McCaskey High School. He served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the VFW Post 7294 of Millersville. He enjoyed working around the house, going to Ocean City, MD and going to the VFW and other social clubs. Surviving besides his wife are 2 daughters: Tammy wife of Michael Graybill of Lancaster, Amy wife of Shawn Breneman of Willow Street, 6 grandchildren: Kelly, Megan, Kirsten, Jordan, Lauren, Allyson, 3 great grandchildren: Elyse, Devon, Trinity, 3 siblings: Dennis husband of Nancy Thome Good of Lancaster, Shirley wife of Gary Holtze of Florida, Joyce wife of Brian Burkholder of Ephrata.
Funeral service will take place from the Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, on Monday, January 22 at 12 noon, with a viewing time from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment will take place at the Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 237 Court St, Reading, PA. 19601.
