Glenn K. Hackman, 79, of Baumgardner Road, Willow Street, PA passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness. He and his wife, Edna Murry Hackman celebrated 46 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Samuel L. and Emily Kauffman Hackman. Glenn had previously been employed as a manager for Bayak Cigar Company in Lancaster for several years and completed his career as a truck driver for APA Transport. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, and boating, and his property at Raystown Lake, but he especially loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving beside his wife Edna are two daughters, Renee (Landon) Hunter of Millersville, Lisa (Andrew) Freda of Oradell, NJ; 5 grandchildren, Luke and Eric Schlotzhauter, Drew, Grace and Glenn Freda; 3 sisters, Dorothy Miller of Willow Street, Miriam Longenecker of Lancaster, and Audrey Eshleman of Lititz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles and Harry; and a sister Helen Eshleman. Funeral services will be held at Boehm’s United Methodist Church, 13 West Boehm’s Road, Willow Street, PA on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 11:00AM with Pastor R. Blake Deibler officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Viewings will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00PM and again on Thursday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of service.
