George A. Gordon, Jr., 78, formerly of Peach Bottom, died at the home of his daughter, Michele, in Delta, York County, PA on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. He and his wife Carolyn Kobar Gordon celebrated 54 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, PA he was the son of the late George A. and Alma A. Heiser Gordon. George worked in the banking industry as a real estate appraiser, retiring from Santander Bank. A US Army veteran, he served stateside during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Little Britain Presbyterian Church and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed baseball (Atlanta Braves), and football (Dallas Cowboys and Penn State). He also enjoyed collecting antiques and traveling. Surviving beside his wife Carolyn are three children, Cynthia Mullen, and twins Michele wife of William Starr and George A. husband of Tammy Gordon, IV; 9 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild; 4 siblings, John Gordon, Joyce Kauffman, James husband of Margaret Gordon, and Harry Gordon.
George was preceded in death by 2 siblings, Alma Gordon and Ronald Gordon. Funeral services will be held at Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 11:00AM with Rev. Thomas Milligan officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service.
