Frank J. Lowery, Jr., 90, of Little Britain Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at his home with his sons Tom and John near. He was the husband of the late Lorraine M. (Donovan) Lowery, sharing 50 years of marriage at the time of her passing in 2000. Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Frank J., Sr. and Anna (Bonagura) Lowery. Frank graduated high school and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in business. He worked his way through college as a professional horseback riding instructor at Prospect Park Riding Academy. After college, he worked as a controller at Radio City Music Hall, the Empire State Building, Jamaica, NY, Water Company, and retired from the Chrysler Corporation. Throughout his life, Frank had a love for horses. He also enjoyed his farm in Little Britain and worked hard maintaining it for many years. He was one of the last survivors of the generation that helped shape America. He was a very generous person and helped many people.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas and John Lowery, of Little Britain; a daughter, Roseanna (Richard) Lanzilotta, of Cedarhurst, NY; three grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Frank was the last of his family, predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. A Liturgy Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in the mausoleum chapel of Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Road, Lancaster, PA 17603.
