Carolyn E. Landis, age 76 of Christiana, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 2, 2022. She was the wife of J. Kenneth Landis, with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage on May 28th. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Nathan E. and Viola M. Shoemaker Blough. She was one of the founding members of Andrews Bridge Christian Fellowship, where she taught Sunday School and was involved with the Titus 2 Ladies. She graduated from Solanco High School, class of 1964. She worked at Vintage Sale Stables for 21 years and High Industries for 14 years. Carolyn was very active with New Hope Ministries. She enjoyed the beach, photography, painting with acrylic and charcoal and making blankets. She was known as a friend to many and would always consider others before herself.
Surviving besides her husband are 2 children: Lisa L. wife of Peter Yoder of Mt. Joy, Jeffrey K. husband of Kimberly Lefever Landis of Quarryville, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a bonus son Stephen husband of Jodie Denlinger Snader of Landisville and their 3 children. Funeral service will take place from the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, on Friday, October 7th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to New Hope Ministries, 248 Maple Avenue #A, Quarryville, PA 17566.
