Irene E. Creter Eager, 89, formerly of Quarryville, peacefully went to be with Jesus on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Paramount Senior Living in Maytown, PA. Born in York County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Odella Harris Creter and was the wife of Donald “Dick” Eager for 67 years. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Hebert and Harm Creter and a sister Miriam Sizemore. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Pamela Frishkorn wife of Eric of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren, Aaron Frishkorn of Gilbert AZ, Paige Carter wife of Josh of Hershey, Luke Frishkorn of Elizabethtown; a sister Romaine Geib of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews. Carol Jean Walter, age 82, formerly of Fairfield, CT, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Greenwich Hospital in CT. Carol was the daughter of J. Charles and Janet Virginia Walter. She was born May 13, 1939, in Coatesville, PA, and raised in Christiana, PA as the first child in a large family of five girls and two boys. In her early years, Carol proudly graduated as a National Merit Scholarship finalist at Scott High School in Coatesville PA, She attended Bucknell University and received her Bachelors of General Studies Degree in the evening program at the University of Connecticut in 1982. Gene C. Eisenberger, 66, of Lancaster, entered into his Heavenly home on Friday, August 6, 2021. Born in Lancaster, Gene was the son of the late Roy W. Eisenberger and Esther M. Eisenberger (Rynier). He was a loving and devoted husband of 46 years to Debra L. Eisenberger (Wiker). Gene was a dedicated father and will forever be remembered and admired by his two sons; Travis Eisenberger of Lancaster and Matthew Eisenberger, married to Jennifer Eisenberger (Irmen), of Quarryville. “Pops” will be deeply missed by his three grandchildren Landon, Peyton, and Cameron Eisenberger. He is also survived by his sister Phyllis A. Wojtusik (Eisenberger), niece Nicole Hettiger (Wojtusik), and nephew Michael Wojtusik, in addition to a great nephew and niece. Henry F. Fisher, age 87, of 2964 Shiprock Road, Willow Street, passed away at home on Sunday, August 8, 2021.
He was the husband of the late Mary Stoltzfus Fisher who died on May 27, 2013. Born in Ronks, he was the son of the late Christ M. and Emma Fisher Fisher. Henry was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Adolf E. “Pete” Frey, 85, of Quarryville passed away peacefully surrounded by his children and family on Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Born in Quarryville, he was the son of the late Frederick and Anna (Huber) Frey. He was married to the late Gloria Y. “Bonnie” (Miller) Frey for 43 years at the time of her passing in 2007. Pete attended Solanco High School and went on to serve in the communications division of the U.S. Army, having been stationed in Germany. He drove truck for various businesses and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He then established his own business, Frey’s Pallets in Quarryville. He was a member of Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren. Pete enjoyed antiquing and spending time with his family. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Decima M. Anderson, 90, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 at home.

Ray, age 95, formerly of Atglen, passed away at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. She was the wife of the late Clair K. Ray, who passed away on July 24, 2002. She was born in Gap, daughter of the late Maurice & Anna Mary Templeton Doutrich. She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church. In the past she had worked for the American Seed Company of Paradise and Robert T. Hogg Cabinet Shop. Pauline enjoyed word find puzzles, reading, gardening, peony flowers and most of all she loved spending time with her family. Pusey B. Oatman, Jr., age 80, of Paradise, PA, passed away at the Mt. Joy Hospice Center on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. He was the husband of Betty L. Wimer Oatman, with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage on February 7th. He was born in Bart Township, son of the late Pusey B. Sr. & Erma Mae Conner Oatman. In the past he attended the Gap Methodist Church and Calvary Monument Bible Church. Pusey worked as a truck driver for L.M. Prange of Kirkwood. He enjoyed camping, going out to eat and NASCAR. Alice L. Souders, age 90, of Drumore, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at home.
She was the wife of the late Earl Souders who died in 1989. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Pauline Dempsey Schulze. Alice was a member of Towerville Christian Church. She enjoyed traveling and antique shopping. Marie Hilton Dull, 95, of Brethren Village, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 2, 2021. Born in New Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frank G. and Reba Jane (Walker) Hilton. She was the loving wife of the late J. Donald Dull for 66 years at the time of his passing on May 25, 2012. Marie was a graduate of Quarryville High School. She went on to work for Dr. James Pennington, DDS, the former Rhoads Spanish Tavern and also worked as an administrative assistant at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Marie was an active member of Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church, where she regularly taught Sunday school and in recent years had become a member of Harvest Presbyterian Church. |
