Dorothy Trimble, 89, Lancaster, PA, formerly of Quarryville and Schoeneck, PA, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015. She was the widow of the late Harry Trimble who passed away in 1972. Dorothy was born in MD, a daughter of the late B. Frank and Elizabeth McCombs Grimsey. She is survived by 12 children; Mae Adams, Lititz, Harry Trimble, Sara Stauffer, (Robert), Lititz, Bertha Strickler, (Ivan), Denver, Calvin Trimble, (Sandra), Ephrata, Harold Trimble, (Kathy Shupp), Ephrata, Geraldine Stauffer, Ephrata, James Trimble, Denver, Louise Hirneisen,(Kenneth), FL, Teresa Trimble, Reading, Glenn Trimble, Manheim, Mark Trimble, (Dawn), Denver, PA, numerous grand and great grandchildren, a sister, Mary Eager. Anita A. Prichard, 64, of Kinseyville Road, Nottingham, PA died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the widow of Ike Prichard who retired from local Union #520 and who died on December 13, 2009. Born in Morganfield, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and Georgia Evelyn Link Artko. Anita was a member of Wrightsdale Baptist Church. Anita had been employed as a laborer in the construction industry. She enjoyed quilting, reading and sewing. Lenore “Lynn” A. McGhee, 68, of Oxford, formerly of Nottingham, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Jennersville Regional Hospital, West Grove. Born in Amsterdam, NY she was the daughter of the late James and Jane Frieman Ulrich. Lynn retired from Lincoln University as a secretary. She was employed with the Oxford Senior Center. She was a member and former Vice-President of AFSCME Union. She was also a member of the Oxford Senior Center. Lynn enjoyed spending time with her family. Irma R. Snyder, 69 of New Providence, PA, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015. She was the wife of Robert N. Snyder, Jr. They had celebrated 37 years of marriage. Irma enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, creating floral arrangements, singing, and volunteering. She was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Arcadio and Amelia Ramos Lopez. Donald R. Botbyl, 90, of the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community since June 2007 and formerly Newfield, NJ, entered into rest on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Born in Fairlawn, NJ, he was a son of the late Andrew and Dora (Dykstra) Botbyl. Don and his wife, Alda I. (Weikel) Botbyl had celebrated 62 years of marriage in June. After high school, Don enlisted and served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. Following his discharge, he worked as a diesel mechanic. Don was a life member of Faith Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Pole Tavern, NJ, where he served for over 50 years as an elder, trustee and Sunday school superintendant. Don enjoyed gardening, woodworking and small engine repair. Samuella “Sam” H. Woodrow, 81, of Quarryville passed away unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2015 at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born on September 27, 1933 in Clay County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Henry Harrison and Willie Tressie McWilliams Horne. She was the wife of David S. Woodrow who passed away on September 22, 1989.
Sam was a member of Wrightsdale Baptist Church, Peach Bottom. She was currently attending True Gospel Baptist Church in Quarryville. She loved visiting family and friends and her grandchildren were her world. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing the piano, and studying her bible. Judith C. Charney, 70, of Airville, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy. Born in Wilmington, DE, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Larimore) Lane. She was married to John Charney for over 49 years. Judy was a homemaker and enjoyed vacationing in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina. |
