Alan L. Eshleman, 56, of Refton, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of Ellen Diran Eshleman. Born in Lancaster he was the son of the late J. Warren and Helen R. Lutz Eshleman. Alan got to realize his dream of owning his own business and being self-employed after he had been employed by the former Nolt & Nolt as a foreman for 33 years. His hobbies and enjoyments included riding motorcycle, woodworking, working in his sawmill and spending time with his family. Surviving beside his wife Ellen are three children, Keith M. Schnerr and his fiancé Jamie of Willow Street, Amy wife of Mathew Shaffer of Willow Street, Jenelle C. Eshleman of Lancaster; two step sons, Michael (Kathryn) Lutz of Knoxville, TN, Brian J. Lutz of Millersville; 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Brianna, Lexi; a sister Gail Cromwell of Willow Street; 2 brothers, Dean Eshleman of Holtwood, Jeff Eshleman of OR; and 3 nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery. Viewings will be held on Tuesday from 6:00-9:00PM and again on Wednesday from 9:30AM until the time of service, both at the funeral home.
