William R. "Bill" Heidelbaugh Jr. of Quarryville died on Thursday, December 12, 2013. He was 76. Mr. Heidelbaugh was born in East Drumore Township, a son of the late William R. and Ruth Mitchell Heidelbaugh. He was a 1954 graduate of Southern Lancaster County Joint High School, Quarryville. Mr. Heidelbaugh worked the family farm for more than 45 years. In later years, he worked at Muddy Run Park. He served as an auditor for East Drumore Township for 47 years.
Mr. Heidelbaugh was a life member of the New Providence Church of God. He was a member and past master of Washington Lodge 156, F.& A.M., Quarryville; the Lancaster Shrine Club and Oriental Band; Zembo Shrine Temple, Harrisburg; and the International Order of Odd Fellows, Strasburg Lodge 61. Mr. Heidelbaugh enjoyed hunting, golfing, following NASCAR, and spending time with his children. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Grace O'Donnell Heidlebaugh; two daughters, Tammy, wife of Mike Tims of Johnstown, and Terilee, wife of Jeffrey L. Swope of Quarryville; two sons, Scott, husband of Susie Heidelbaugh of Quarryville, and Johnny Heidelbaugh of Quarryville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. His brother, Jack Heidelbaugh, is deceased. Friends may call at the New Providence Church of God, 269 Cinder Rd., New Providence PA 17560, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, December 16. Services will be held from the church at 6 p.m. Monday with Pastor Dwight Lefever officiating. Private burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
