Melvin K. Fisher of White Oak Rd., Paradise, died at the Florida Integrated Medical Center, Sarasota, Fla., on Thursday, December 12, 2013. He was 50. Mr. Fisher was born in Ronks, a son of Benjamin L. Fisher and the late Emma King Fisher. He was a carpenter for Fisher Brothers Siding. Mr. Fisher was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. In addition to his father, he is survived by his stepmother, Katie Zook Fisher; siblings Sadie, wife of Christ Stoltzfoos of Strasburg, Ephraim, husband of Katie Petersheim Fisher of Paradise, Rebecca, wife of Christ Miller of Paradise, Ruth, wife of Reuben Beiler of Paradise, Miriam, wife of David Stoltzfus of Gordonville, Jesse, husband of Lydiann Blank Fisher of Gordonville; step-siblings Nancy, wife of Emanual Fisher of Lykens, Chester, husband of Emma King Zook of Lykens, Eli, husband of Fannie Stoltzfus Zook of Quarryville, Arie Lyn, wife of Benuel King of Newburg, Sadie, wife of Leory Stoltzfus of Leola, Joshua, husband of Linda Peachey Zook of Quarryville, Rebecca, wife of Isaac Lapp of Gordonville, Gideon, husband of Emma Mae King Zook of Christiana, and Jonas Zook Jr. of Paradise. A brother, Elmer K. Fisher; his paternal grandparents, Phares and Rebecca Fisher; and his maternal grandparents, Ephriam and Sarah King, are deceased.
Services were scheduled to be held from the home of Ephiram Fisher, 4003 White Oak Rd., Paradise, at 9 a.m. on Monday, December 16. Burial will be in the Bart Cemetery, Georgetown. Comments are closed.
