Mary Good Kreider of Brethren Village died at home on Thursday, January 28, 2016. She was 86. Mrs. Kreider was born in Denver, a daughter of the late Monroe and Mary Crouse Good. She lived in Lampeter before moving to Brethren Village. She had worked at Willow Valley and in the culinary department of Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Mrs. Kreider was an active member of the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren and, in later years, the Lampeter Church of the Brethren. She served as a deacon, taught Sunday School, led the Women's Fellowship, and headed the Quilters' Group. She made numerous blankets for the Linus Group. She also enjoyed gardening, tending her flowers, and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by daughters: Erla Mae Frederick of Lock Haven; and Mary Lou, wife of Gary Ruth of Manheim; along with sons: Larry Good Kreider, husband of Donna of Quarryville; and Terry Lee Kreider, husband of Mary (Peffley) of Lancaster. Also there are 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and brothers: Monroe and Rufus Good; along with sisters, Dorothy Fasnacht and Katherine Keeney. Mary was preceded in death by brothers, Lester and Harold Good; and sisters, Arlene Dennis and Ethel Beck and a daughter in law, Ginger Kreider.
