Joseph C Squatrito, 63, of New Providence, declared his independence from cancer on the 4th of July 2015. So fitting for such a strong man. Joe was born in Baltimore, MD on November 7, 1951 to Peter and Marian (McKnight) Squatrito. He is survived by his loving wife Susan, children; Joshua and his wife Erica Squatrito, Julie and her husband Richard Beckand grandchildren; Jayda Paige Brown and Nolan Joshua Squatrito. Joe is also survived by his siblings; Pete and his wife Karen Squatrito, Miriam Jester, Mike and his wife Marge Squatrito, Kathy and her husband Bob Wolford, Gerald Squatrito, and Paul and his wife Debbie Squatrito.
Joe worked for Pennoni Associates Inc. out of King of Prussia PA for 13 years as a chief Inspection Supervisor to New York City Department of transportation’s Fabrication Engineering Unit. He loved his work and the numerous people he was able to interact with on a daily basis. Joe truly enjoyed watching his son grow up playing baseball from little league to the minor leagues and all of the traveling it involved. Most recently Joe loved attending his granddaughter’s dance recitals, softball games, and field hockey tournaments. Joe was thrilled to get to spend almost every day of the past year with his grandson. As Joe would say, "TTFB" Funeral Services were held at Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Hwy., Quarryville on Monday on July 6, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Rhen officiating. There was a viewing at the church from 11-12 p.m. Interment was private. Arrangements entrusted to Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, Quarryville.
