John Phillip Crawford, Jr., 59, of Middlebrook passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Born October 21, 1956 in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late John Phillip Crawford, Sr. and Susan (Sorge) Crawford. Mr. Crawford was self-employed having worked in the construction business. John was an avid sportsman. He loved to hunt, fish, play golf and attend sporting events. Over the years he coached many of his sons sports teams. His hobbies were anything to do with his kids and grandkids. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. His greatest joy in life was his three boys. Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Tina (Harrell) Crawford; his sons, John Phillip Crawford, III of Middlebrook, Joseph Paul Crawford and wife, Amber of Middlebrook and Jeffrey Patton Crawford of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren, Jaden Kern, Jack Crawford, J.P Crawford and Benny Crawford; sisters, Jackie Crawford and husband, Colyer Williams of Middlebrook and Linda Manning and husband, Dean of Quarryville, PA; mother-in-law, Betty Harrell of Quarryville, PA. The family would like to give a special thank you to Frank Viola, Frank Sorge, Jim and Molly Toth and Dean and Laura Manning.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Fifth Street United Brethren Church with Pastor Harry Moore officiating.
