J. Scott Keemer, 54, of Putter Avenue, Lancaster, PA, went to be with his Lord on May 18, 2015 at his residence. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Joseph F. Jr., and Susan King Keemer of Lancaster. Scott was employed by Yarnell Security Systems, Lancaster for 27 years as an IT specialist and service network manager. A musician, he played drums for the Workin Dawgs Band which played in local clubs and for various charity benefits. He was a member of N.I.C.E.T. and served as president of the A.S.C.E.T. chapter. Scott enjoyed photography, and was a professional level photographer. Surviving beside his parents is a son, Spencer D. Keemer of York; a brother Jeffrey W. Keemer, Sr. of Lancaster; a sister, Jill R. Keemer wife of Dale Jennings of Quarryville; a girlfriend Teri L. Yarnell of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1104 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, PA on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1:00PM with Pastor R. Blake Deibler officiating. Interment will follow in Penn Hill Friends Burial Ground. Viewings will be held at the church on Thursday from 6:30-8:30PM and again on Friday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
