Gertrude Wilhelmina Lang of the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement community died at Lancaster General Hospital on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. She was 93. Mrs. Lang was born in Leverkusen, Germany, a daughter of the late Wilhelm and Gertrud Geborene-Gierling Gross. She lived in Millersville and Union, N.J., before moving to the retirement community. She had worked as a secretary for an electronics manufacturing firm.
Mrs. Lang was a member of Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church, Union, for more than 50 years. She enjoyed literature and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Lang is survived by three grandchildren, Erik Kellers, Laura Kellers Queen, and Tracy Kellers; six great-grandchildren, Rhiannon Kile, Hayden Kellers, Rowen Kellers, Victoria Queen, Tyler Queen, and Ronald Kilby III. Her husband, Victor Lang Jr., died in 2006. Her daughter, Kathleen Denise Lang Kellers; her brother, William Gross; and a great-grandson, Michael Kile, are also deceased. A memorial service will be held from Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church, 611 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 14, with Chaplain Daniel Perrin officiating. A traditional burial service will be held in Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, N.J., at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 21. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Central PA Chapter, 2405 Park Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg PA 17110.
