George F. Eager, Jr., 74, of River Road, Drumore died Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of the late E. Marie Mowrer Eager who died December 31, 2014. Born in Lancaster he was the son of the late George F. Sr. and Dorothy Louise Lefever Eager. George was a lifelong plumber, working for Donald Hess Plumbing and then Groff’s Heating, AC and Plumbing, Willow Street. Following retirement he hauled Amish. He was very involved in little league baseball where he coached for 16 years. His other enjoyments were NASCAR, hunting, fishing, and gardening. Surviving him are 5 sons, George F. “Spark” (Jelethia) Eager, III, Gerald (Lynn) Eager, Greg (Melissa) Eager, Richard (Darlene) Eager, Garrod “Worm” Eager; 9 grandchildren, Erin Eager Goe, Morgan Eager, Chelsea Eager, Anthony Eager, Adrienne Eager, Clayton Eager, Remington Tsudy, Tucker Tsudy, Trishia Mayberry; a great grandchild, Lane Taluba.
Funeral services will be held at Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, 1068 Chestnut Level Road, Quarryville, PA on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. A viewing will be held in the Family Life Center of the church on Friday from 6:30-8:30PM and again on Saturday in the church from 10:00AM until the time of service. Kindly omit flowers.
