Elvin L. Beiler, 88, of Kinzers died at his residence on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 after a brief illness. Born in Leacock Township, he was the son of the late Christian E. and Rachel S. Lapp Beiler. He was married 68 years on January 14th to the love of his life, Ruth B. Zook Beiler. Surviving in addition to his wife are six children, Clair E, husband of Verna Glick Beiler, Paradise; Loretta J. wife of Eugene Smucker, New Holland; Robert L. husband of Linda Brubaker Beiler, Gap; Lyndon S. husband of Evonne Groff Beiler, Rexville, NY; Galen D. husband of Marcella Hess Beiler, Kinzers; Delbert B. husband of Kristi Nissley Beiler, Millersville; 19 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roman, husband of Fannie Stoltzfus Beiler, Paradise, four sisters, Minerva Beiler Kauffman, Washington County, Mary wife of David King, Mifflinburg, Erma Beiler Zook, Gap, Alta Beiler, Ronks, a brother-in-law, Floyd Stoltzfus, husband of Marilyn Miller Stoltzfus, Gordonville, and sisters-in-law, Lillian Kauffman Beiler and Anna Mary Stoltzfoos Beiler, both of Paradise. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Beiler, four brothers, Aaron Beiler, George Beiler, Calvin Beiler, Kenneth Beiler and one sister, Lillian Beiler Stoltzfus.
Elvin was a member of Life Fellowship Church in Willow Street. He was a life member of Gap Fire Company for over 50 years and served as assistant chief and sale committee chairperson.He was a hog farmer for many years. In later years, he was a delivery driver for Gap Power and Paneling Sales, a Pioneer Seed salesman and a driver for the Amish Community. Elvin was always ready to serve others in whatever way he could. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed hunting and singing. No family gathering was complete without singing his favorite song, “To God Be the Glory!” Memorial service will take place from the Grace Point Church, 10 South Singer Avenue, Paradise on Friday, April 19th at 3 p.m. There will be a viewing at Ridgeview Mennonite Church, 3723 Ridge Road, Gordonville, on Thursday, April 18th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Private interment will take place in the Millwood Mennonite Cemetery.
