Beverly I. McVey, 80, of Quarryville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beverly was born in Lancaster County to the late William Donohue and Alice Landis. Her time was full of laughter and she will be remembered by her contagious smile and joy for life. She enjoyed spending her time playing bingo, word search puzzles, shopping and sitting on the beach. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah wife of Robert Curley of New Providence, and Dorothy wife of Ben Work of Quarryville. And her longtime companion, Robert Rice of Quarryville. As well as four grandchildren Matt Wade Sr., Amy Martin, Amanda Brown and Travis Work, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving is Bill Donohue, brother and Susan Cox, sister both of Illinois. She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy.
Beverly’s memorial service will take place at Wesley Church, 1104 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation beginning at the church at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
