Alvin L. Blank, Sr., age 83, of Bernard Avenue, Cochranville, PA passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, September 24, 2021 following a brief illness. He was the husband of Marjorie Miller Blank. Born in Chester County, he was the son of the late Amos L. and Annie S. Lapp Blank. Alvin had been employed in sales for Charles Chips, and as a deliveryman for Orth Cleaners from which he retired. He enjoyed puzzles, gardening, and was an avid sports fan, especially the Phillies, Eagles, and Penn State. Surviving beside his wife Marjorie are 5 children, Sharon Settle of Leola, Cheryl Wallace of Lancaster, Charlotte (Glenn) Martin of New Holland, A. Lee (Jo-Anne) Blank, Jr. of West Chester, Karleen Blank of Gordonville; 3 step children, Robert (Kathryn) Allison of Coatesville, Vicki (Doug) Besaw of Chesnee, SC, Robert Hopkins of SC; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
Funeral services will be held at Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 11:00AM with Brian D. Walton officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00AM until the time of service. Interment will be private in Glen Run Cemetery.
