After capturing a two-run lead in the the second inning Perryville took an on the road win over North East. Mara Little hit a triple in top of the second, putting a man on third. Emily Phillips then hit a single. Hanna Downes was walked loading the bases for Perryville. Hannah Gordon was walked, giving the Panthers their first run, scored by Little. Erin Murphy hit a single, which brought in a second run for the Panthers by Sarah Chandler, to round out the top of the second. "Usually when people give us the opportunity to hit, we hit and we make them pay," said Phillips. The home opener for the Panthers proved to be a letdown.

It's a word frequently used in sports to describe the tenacity an athlete or team demonstrates in the face of adversity. Although she's had five surgeries on her's, there can be no questioning Logan Ewing's heart. Perryville coach Dave Ruark called it "a fairytale ending".
In a game which featured more twists and turns than Principio Road, the Panthers outlasted Boonsboro 10-9 in nine innings Saturday in College Park to capture the school's first MPSSAA Class 1A softball state title and complete an undefeated season. The Perryville girls are in first place after the first ay of the state track and field meet at Morgan State.
Perryville's softball team advanced to the state final with a 15-0 triumph over Pikesville in five innings Wednesday afternoon at Bachman Sports Complex in Glen Burnie.
The Perryville girls clinched their fifth straight region track and field title.
The Panthers racked up a whopping 235.5 points to easily outdistance second place Patterson Mill (115). Like Bieber or The Beatles, the hits just kept on coming.
The Perryville softball team overcame an early four-run deficit by scoring 10 unanswered runs including an eight-run uprising in the fifth en route to an 11-5 triumph over visiting Bohemia Manor in a region semifinal game Wednesday afternoon. Carly White's grand slam in the third inning of the Class 1A softball north region title game was a real eye-opener.
And White did it with her eyes closed. White's blast gave Perryville a 4-0 lead and the host Panthers went on to an 8-3 triumph over McDonough Friday afternoon. The Perryville girls lacrosse team had its sensational season end in the region title game for the third straight season.
