Bohemia Manor captured the team title and Dylan Whitney of Perryville earned medalist honors at the Cecil County golf tournament, held Tuesday, October 16, at Furnace Bay.
Whitney carded an 82, one stroke better than the Eagles' state qualifier Will Smethurst. Led by a 41 from medalist Will Smethurst, Bohemia Manor captured the Susquehanna Division golf tournament Tuesday, October 2, at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club Rising Sun.
The district golf tournament began Tuesday at Mountain Branch Golf Club in Joppa. Play was suspended by rain and the tournament will resume Tuesday, October 10. The Perryville golf team completed a regular season sweep of county foes with a 220-256 victory over Rising Sun last Thursday afternoon on the Back 9 of Furnace Bay.
Perryville captured the Cecil County golf tournament Tuesday, October 20, at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club - Rising Sun.
The Panthers (545) topped Rising Sun (568), Bohemia Manor (569), Elkton (638), and North East (641). The Rising Sun golf team won a three-team tournament Wednesday at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club - Rising Sun.
Genesis Diaz of Elkton won the individual championship and Harford Tech took the team title at the Susquehanna Division golf tournament played Tuesday in Rising Sun.
The Perryville golf team won a home meet Thursday on the back nine at Furnace Bay.
The Panthers (216) downed Patterson Mill (223) and C. Milton Wright (228). The Rising Sun golf team opened its season yesterday at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club – Rising Sun. Aberdeen (213) downed the Tigers (216) and C. Milton Wright (231). Sean O’Donnell carded a 38 to lead Rising Sun and Derek Adams shot a 40.
