The Rising Sun boys basketball team outlasted Tome 52-49 in a back-and-forth game Monday night, December 10.
Rising Sun's Kendra Stamper poured in 25 points against her former school as the Tigers opened the girls basketball season with a 46-26 triumph over visiting Tome Thursday night, December 6.
The North East field hockey team topped Tome 2-1 at Calvert Regional Park Thursday, September 27.
Abigail Vogelsong tallied twice including the eventual game-winner with 11:53 remaining as the Tome field hockey team nipped host Perryville 2-1 Friday afternoon.
"I got a nice assist again from Laidan Ryan and I just tapped it in," Vogelsong said of her second score. "It's all a team effort." The Tome boys lacrosse team blanked Bohemia Manor 7-0 Monday, April 23.
Mark LoPresto led the Titans with three goals. The Tome School's girls basketball team captured its third straight Mid-Atlantic Independent League championship with a 55-25 triumph over Tri-State Christian Academy Saturday at North East High.

Special to The Herald The Perryville girls basketball team fell to the Tome Titans 43-26 on Monday, January 29, to a score of 43-26. Billy Boyer iced the game with two free throws and finished with a game-high 18 points as the Perryville boys basketball team earned its second straight win by beating Tome 46-42 Friday night.
The Titans, on the other hand, missed their last six free throw attempts.  Courtney Hardy Courtney Hardy's career game helped the Elkton girls basketball team top Tome 61-47 Wednesday afternoon, January 3.
Hardy poured in 32 points to power the Elks to the victory. It is the most points Hardy has scored at any level, surpassing her previous best of 24 in an AAU contest. She knew early it was going to be a big night. "I really started off the game on a hot streak," Hardy said. "I started out with a bunch of points and once I start scoring I get my energy up and then I try to keep scoring. Usually I don't score until the second quarter and start off slow but when I started scoring at the very beginning of the first quarter I try to keep going." |
