Josh Anderson ran 10 yards for a touchdown in the third overtime period to give the Rising Sun football team a 6-3 triumph over host North East in the rain and mud Friday night.
The Indians had taken a 3-0 lead on the first possession of the third OT on a field goal by Sam Smithmyer.
Anderson blasted up the middle on the next play to give the Tigers the win in the battle of winless teams.
The Tigers had a touchdown called back by a penalty in the first OT and missed two field goals. Rising Sun also had a regulation touchdown wiped out by a penalty.
The Indians also missed a field goal in the first OT. Anderson recovered a fumble to thwart North East in the second OT.
The Tigers had lost six games in a row dating back to last year and 15 of its last 16. Both of Rising Sun's last two victories had come against Harford Tech.
