The Perryville girls placed third and the boys finished fifth at the UCBAC Track and Field Championships which concluded Friday at North East. Sierra Montz scored points in all four of her individual events to pace the Panthers. Montz was second in the intermediate hurdles, fifth in the high hurdles, sixth in the long jump, and seventh in the triple jump. Hailey McDonald gave Perryville its lone first place finish in an individual event by capturing the pole vault.
The Panthers (Taesha Andre, Angelica Conway, Alysa Conway, Autumn Estep) also prevailed in the 4 x 200 relay. Andre was fourth in the 400 and seventh in the 200.Estep was sixth in the 400. Jordan Dodson was second in the 3200 and fifth in the 1600. Angelica Conway, Alysa Conway, Christen Dodson, and Brooke Doane placed fourth in the 4 x 100 relay. Doane (triple jump), Kayla Losoya (long jump), and Natalie Owens (pole vault) each had a fifth place finish. McDonald and Teri Wennersten tied for sixth in the high jump. Paiton Kelly placed seventh in the pole vault. Harford Tech (138) won the team competition followed by C. Milton Wright (131), the Panthers (97), North Harford (68), Aberdeen (61), Joppatowne (36), North East (33), Fallston (30), Patterson Mill (23), Edgewood (22), Bel Air (21), Elkton (21), Bohemia Manor (11), and Rising Sun (10). The Tigers' Heather Martin was third in the pole vault and sixth in the triple jump. Cameryn Dugger, Brooke Ratledge, Cassidy Boyd, and Madison Webb teamed for an eighth place finish in the 4 x 400 relay. On the boys' side, Cam Cunningham recorded three finishes in the top four. He was third in the high jump and fourth in both hurdle races. Shawn Montz placed second in the intermediate hurdles and fifth in the high hurdles and Jeff Pollard was third in the shot put and sixth in the discus. Adam Thornton (3200) and Ben Kuhn (discus) each had a fourth place finish. Corban Porch (sixth), Cam Crosler (seventh) and Justin Harreld (tie for eighth) each earned points in the pole vault which was won by Bohemia Manor's Tyear Castle. Melvin Dowdy was seventh in the intermediate hurdles. Perryville's Tyler McCall, Mitchell Johansen, Zach Buckson, and Elijah Johnson teamed for a sixth place finish in the 4 x 400. Johnson, McCall, Montz, and Tanner Bird combined to place eighth in the 4 x 200 relay. Bo Manor's indomitable Ty Franks captured the 800, 1600, and 3200. Rising Sun's Alex Kerns (118-10) won the discus. Josh Anderson was fourth in the shot put and Marquis Topp was eighth in the triple jump. Anderson, Topp, Jose Ramirez, and Martin Stillwell teamed to finish sixth in the 4 x 100. Edgewood (111) claimed the team title followed by C. Milton Wright (103), Bohemia Manor (67.5), Bel Air (64), Perryville (59.5), North Harford (45), Harford Tech (44.5), Fallston (41.5), Elkton (30), North East (21), Rising Sun (20), Joppatowne (14), Havre de Grace (14), and Patterson Mill (10).
