Perryville Senior softball goes 2-2 in region tournament

    The Perryville Senior Division softball All-Stars went 2-2 in pool play at the East Region Tournament in Worcester, Mass., and did not qualify for the championship round.

Game 4
Perryville 12, Delaware 2 (5 innings)
    Winning pitcher Emily Phillips tripled and singled and drove in four runs. She recorded six strikeouts.
    Brooke Reynolds collected two hits, two runs scored, and an RBI. Carly White doubled, singled, scored twice, and drove in a run. Alysa Conway contributed two hits and an RBI and scored two runs.

    Melissa Savin supplied two hits and scored twice. Jordyn Pollitt provided two hits and an RBI. Ashley Phillips had a hit and scored a run. Alexxus Ritter recorded a double and RBI.
    
Game 3
Perryville 2, New York 0
    Emily Phillips struck out nine and yielded three walks and two hits in the victory. Catcher Carly White had a huge game. She threw out two runners trying to steal and collected a triple, double, RBI, and run scored.
    Brooke Reynolds doubled and scored. Kadi Davis had an RBI single. Phillips added a hit.

Game 2
New Jersey 2, Perryville 1
    The game was halted by rain with two outs in the bottom of the fifth when Perryville had the potential tying run on third base. It was called off after a two-hour delay.
    Emily Phillips fanned eight and had a triple, single, and RBI.
    Ashley Phillips had a triple. Carly White and Jordyn Pollitt each singled and Brooke Reynolds scored the lone Perryville run.

Pennsylvania 5, Perryville 1
    Alexxus Ritter had a double, single, and RBI. Brooke Reynolds doubled and scored. Emily Phillips and Carly White each singled.
    Emily Phillips recorded 11 strikeouts.
