Perryville girls track and field team placed first and the boys also placed first in a three team meet held at Havre de Grace High school last Tuesday May 9. The Panthers (96) topped Rising Sun (59) and Havre de Grace (30). Kailee McCutchen triumphed in both of the 100 and 300 hurdle events. Perryville's Relay team took three of the relay races, the 4x200, 4x400, and 4x800. Katelyn Broughman took second in the 100 and 200 meter races.
Christen Dodson placed first in the discus and teammate Emani Bell was second. Ellie Kuhn prevailed in the triple jump and placed second in the pole vault. Alysa Conway took second in the long jump. Rising Sun took three of the distance races. Mikaela Berg triumphed in the 400. Danielle Lee took the 800. Madison Moran prevailed in the 1600 and 3200. Annalia Webb took the high jump and teammate Arianna Wheeler prevailed in the pole vault. Abby Neal too second in the 100 hurdle and Rachel Cohen placed second in the 300 hurdle event. In the boys team competition, Perryville (82) triumphed over Havre de Grace (72) and Rising Sun (32). Perryville's Caleb Robinson prevailed in the 100 and 200 meter races. Ben Buckless took the 800. Brian Keenan placed first in the 1600 and Jacob Negron took the 3200. The Panthers relay team took the 4x100, 4x200, and the 4x800 relay races. Cage Jones took the pole vault and teammate Ben Buckless placed second in the event. Teryl Cain placed second in the shot put. For Rising Sun, Maurice McCargo triumphed in the discus and teammate Charles Thurston placed second. Thurston also placed first in the shot put. Jeremy Fitzgerald took the 400 race.
