Average is no longer acceptable. That's one of the mantras for the Perryville boys lacrosse team. Coach Brandon Townsend says the Panthers will "continue their trend of improving as a team by focusing on the fundamentals of the game and consistent execution of concepts". Junior Nicholas Ports, senior Tyler Wagoner, senior Ruvim Kolosey, and freshman Matthew Mannone will lead the attack.
Senior Connor Bowman, sophomore Nicholas Roberts, junior Ryan Bedard, sophomore Ray Woods, junior Andrew Crouse, senior Joey Carter, junior Luke Fritz, senior Ben Carlyle, and senior Dillon Drouillard will contribute in the midfield. Sophomores Shaun Vines, Dominic Muscella, and Joe Perry and seniors Brandon Harvey and Michael McIntire will anchor the defense in front of sophomore goalie Ben Savick. "We have the same expectations for every player on our roster at Perryville," Townsend said. "Make themselves and each other better through proper preparation and consistent effort and attitude. We expect that every player will have a key role in the overall success of our program through their daily contributions in practices and during games." Townsend said the Panthers "have decided that being average is no longer acceptable" and are aiming "to become the strongest program in Cecil County". "The team plans to achieve this goal by out-preparing, out-hustling and out-playing all of their opponents." Comments are closed.
