The Rising Sun girls placed second and the Bohemia Manor boys were fourth at the Maryland Track and Trail cross country meet at Fair Hill Saturday.
The Tigers' Alanah Bell finished sixth in the 14-team small schools girls race, best of the local runners. Rising Sun (92) finished behind Catoctin (72). Even after opening the season with two straight lopsided losses, Perryville football coach Chris Johnson remains convinced his team is on the verge of turning things around.
