Michael Joseph "Joey" Heimberger Jr. of Perryville died Sunday, November 9, 2014. He was 30.
He was born October 26, 1984, in Baltimore, son of Michael Joseph Heimberger Sr. and Sharon Elizabeth Heimberger of Perryville. Mr. Heimberger was a 2002 graduate of Perryville High School. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years then worked at LaFarge. Andrew John Cothin of Elkton died Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore. He was 29.
Born July 4, 1985 in Marion, Va., he is survived by his mother, Carol E. Giovanazi-Willison; stepfather, Craig S. Willison; brothers, Matthew D. Cothin, Christopher B. Beam and Grason R. Willison. Norman John Bannon, Jr. of Perryville died at home Friday, November 7, 2014. He was 85.
Born October 19, 1929 in Port Deposit, he was the son of the late Norman J., Sr. and Margaret I. Bannon. Mr. Bannon was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Jerry Skrivanek VFW Post No. 8185 of Port Deposit, and a member of the Susquehanna American Legion No. 135 of Perryville. Leona Ruth Burkey of Street died at home Thursday, November 6, 2014. She was 76.
Born in Kentucky, on April 28, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William C. and the late Maude (Gibson) Bowling. She enjoyed puzzles and reading. Winifred Ann Shumway, 89 of North East, MD, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in the Laurelwood Care Center, Elkton, MD. A lifelong resident of North East, she was born on Aug. 16, 1925, the daughter of the late Alvin Chester and Etta Mae (Smithson) Russell. Ann was the wife of the late Richard N. Shumway who passed away on Jan. 3, 2014. She met Richard while he was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground and they were married in Feb. 12, 1946. Mary Elizabeth (Shumaker) Reider of Rising Sun died November 4, 2014. She was 86. Born October 17, 1928 in Ashe County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Rod & Nell (Blevins) Shumaker. She co-owned and helped operate Reider’s Garage for over 55 years before retiring. Mrs. Reider enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, community, and her pets, whom she loved dearly. Richard William (Bill) Wade, Sr. of Clarksville, Ark., formerly of North East, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, Del. He was 75. Born in Clarksburg, W.Va., on March 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Arlie R. and the late Nellie (Hennen) Wade. He served in the Army and retired after working many years as a diesel mechanic. Mr. Wade enjoyed decoy carving, hunting, crabbing and watching football. Harriet Delores Brown of North East died Sunday, November 2, 2014. She was 65.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton, on July 7, 1949, the daughter of the late Harry and the late Ethelwyn (Johnson) Brown. She retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground with over 30 years of service in Processing. Edith Rachel Simcox, of Port Deposit died with her loving family by her side on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Seasons Hospice Care in Newark, Delaware. She was 81.
Mrs. Simcox was born in Cecil County on May 19, 1933, daughter of the late William G. Funk and Stella Anderson Funk. She was married to Delmer F. Simcox for 62 years. |
