S. Jeff Hanson of Hance Point, North East died Thursday, March 27, 2014 in Union Hospital, Elkton. He was 62.
Mr. Hanson was a graduate of the University of Delaware and former employee of W.L. Gore and Associates. He had a passion for sailing, golfing, life by the river at Hance Point, and all things Philadelphia sports. Irene Hart Haga died Thursday, March 27, 2014. She was 92. She was born in Chilhowie, Va. on February 24, 1922, to the late Robey and Flora (Williams) Hart. Mrs. Haga was a homemaker who worked by her husband’s side in farming, mushroom growing, and later in life was an avid dealer in substantive Christian books of yesteryear, a venture she called “Oldies but Goldies”. Her love was her family and serving the Lord. She reached out to all ages in the work of her Lord - holding Bible clubs in her home, teaching in Children’s Church, leading teens in the Awana Youth program, and assisting her husband with adult Sunday school classes. Sterling H. Rapposelli, Sr. of Perryville died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Harford Memorial Hospital. He was 89.
As a World War II Veteran, he was proud to serve his country as a member of the United States Army. William Patrick “Pat” Seaver of North East died Monday, March 24, 2014 in Christiana Hospital, Newark, Del. He was 53.
He was born in Westerly, R.I., on July 12, 1960. Mr. Seaver retired from the Maryland National Guard after 20 years of service as an Artillery Repairman. Joseph Mayo Burke of Elkton died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Union Hospital, Elkton. He was 68.
He was born in Salisbury on November 12, 1945. Mr. Burke was a production worker at Bayside Community Network. Robert Frank Pencek of Fair Hill died at home Thursday, March 20, 2014. He was 70.
He was born May 4, 1943 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Mr. Pencek graduated from Bohemia Manor High School in Chesapeake City and later attended the University of Delaware. Paul David Atwood of Conowingo died at home Tuesday, March 18, 2014. He was 45. Born October 20, 1967 in Havre de Grace, he was the son of Cecil Wayne Atwood and the late, Patsy Darlene Atwood. He loved riding his Harley, enjoyed camping, and cherished his time spent with his family and friends. Mr. Atwood is survived by his wife of 30 years, Delores Atwood of Conowingo; three children, Julie, Jessy, and Paulie; and four grandchildren, William, Madison, Maliyah, and Sophia. Charles Frederick Narvel of Havre de Grace, formerly of Port Deposit, died Monday, March 17, 2014 in Citizens Care Center of Havre de Grace. He was 97.
Born January 3, 1917 in Pilottown, he was the son of the late Frederick and Martha Jane Dempsey Narvel. Mr. Narvel was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. Charles Swan "Pop-Pop" Jackson, Jr., died at home Sunday, March 16, 2014. He was 69. Mr. Jackson was a hard working father and grandfather who had a quick wit could always steal a smile. He began his career as an Auto Body Technician at Sun Body Shop at an early age. He ran his own shop, “Jackson’s Auto Body”, before accepting a management position with McCoy Motor Company. He worked there for over 25 years before becoming Body Shop Manager at R.L. Jackson, Inc., in 1999. Joan Dawson Lupinetti of Conowingo died March 15, 2014. She was 83. She was the daughter of the late Randall Clifford and Anna Noel Dawson, of Penns Grove, N.J. She will be fondly remembered for her active role within the Good Shepherd Parish Community, and the countless hours she volunteered assisting the less fortunate with the Saint Vincent DePaul’s Society. |
