Richard William (Bill) Wade, Sr. of Clarksville, Ark., formerly of North East, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, Del. He was 75. Born in Clarksburg, W.Va., on March 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Arlie R. and the late Nellie (Hennen) Wade. He served in the Army and retired after working many years as a diesel mechanic. Mr. Wade enjoyed decoy carving, hunting, crabbing and watching football. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Wade; six children, Kimberly Gobble of Perryville, Richard William (Billy) Wade, II of Clarksville, Ark., Sean Wade of Elkton, Bradley Wade of North East, Rebecca Wade and Amanda Wade both of Elkton; a brother, James Wade of Salisbury; a sister, Doris Posey of Clarksburg, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight siblings, Betty Caynor, Gladys Pinder, Ruth Malone, Pauline Wood, Arlie R. Wade, Jr., Jack Wade, Donnie Wade, and Bobby Wade A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 8, at 2 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, where the family will receive guests beginning at 1 p.m. until service time.
