Marianne Burrows Lilley of Bonita Springs, Fla., formerly of Perryville, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in North Collier Hospital of Naples, Fla. She was 83.
Born September 26, 1930 in Perryville, she was the daughter of the late Abner Leslie and Violet Elizabeth Thomas Burrows. Mrs. Lilley was a member of the United Methodist Church of Perryville, the Eastern Star, Worthy Grand Matron, State of Maryland, 1984, and Ladies Auxiliary to the Perryville Fire Company. Jerry Erwin Lee of North East died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in the Heartland Hospice House, Wilmington, Del. He was 66.
Born in Kentucky, on August 3, 1948, he was the son of the late Jesse Elton and the late Sylvia Lanelle (Huskinnson) Lee. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and worked as a steelworker. Terry Wayne McCoy of Newark, Del. and Chesapeake City, died Sunday, August 24, 2014. He was 68. He was born in McComas, W. Va., on May 15, 1946 and moved to Newark, Del. in 1960. He started carpentry work at 13 years old. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and his farm in Chesapeake City. He loved his work and enjoyed talking to everyone in Sparrow Run. Most of all, he loved his family and the time he spent with them. Brenda L. Goff of Charlestown, formerly of Elk Mills, died at home Saturday, August 23, 2014. She was 68.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton on November 14, 1945, daughter of the late Edward James and Doris Charlotte (Jackson) Frederick. She was a member and prayer warrior for Five Rivers Church, Elkton. She was also a member of CBN, TBN, Messiah’s Mandate and had her own Greeting Card Ministry. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, Jeopardy! and cryptograms. Joeann Wright Willey of Rising Sun died at home Sunday, August 24, 2014. She was 73.
Born in Vienna, Va., on August 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Hattie Wright. Mrs. Willey retired from DuPont Co. after 28 years of service in the Human Resources and Benefits Department. H. Ann Young of Rising Sun, died August 21, 2014 at Harford Memorial Hospital. She was 62. Born in Cabin Creek, W. Va. on August 2, 1952, she was the daughter of Howard and Anna Belle Sites Corey. Mrs. Young enjoyed playing Bingo and finding a good bargain at yard sales and flea markets. She loved animals, especially cats and her Shetland Sheepdog, Harley. She looked forward to her visits to New York to visit her sister, Margaret. Ann. Barbara B. Gullion of Rising Sun died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton. She was 77.
She was born in Baltimore on January 24, 1937, daughter of the late Ferdinand W. and M. Betty (Seaman) Spink. Mrs. Gullion was a member of Magnolia Methodist Church, Magnolia. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. John Cameron Racine of North East died August 17, 2014. He was 71. Born in Elkton on April 9, 1943, he was the son of the late William P. and Mariane Creswell Racine. Mr. Racine was a retired salesman and business owner. An avid bowler, he started his bowling career at Elk Lanes and continued his love of bowling throughout his life at Brookside Bowl and Pleasant Hill Lanes. He promoted the sport of bowling every chance he could and was recognized for this with his induction into the Wilmington Bowling Hall of Fame in 2008 for Proprietor of Yesteryear. Joan Barbara White Zambuto of Conowingo died Friday, August 15, 2014, in Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace. She was 80. Born November 14, 1933, in Queens, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John E. and Mildred Wineberger White. Mrs. Zambuto was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church of Port Deposit. She is survived by her sons, James Joseph Zambuto of Conowingo, and John P. Zambuto of Perryville; daughters, Deborah Ann Hall of Joppa, and Mary Ruth Semilia of Conowingo; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Dennis White of California. Elaine Charlotte O’Leary Crane, 91 of Elkton, MD, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 14, 2014.
