Adrian “ChiChi” M. Castillo, 51 yrs, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away at home on Monday, December 22, 2014. Born May 4, 1963, he was the son of Marcial Castillo and Esperanza Faria of Maricabo, Venezuela. Adrian owned and operated AC Used Tires in Havre de Grace, MD. He was a Perryville Little League Baseball and Perryville Junior Football volunteer. He was an avid Ravens football fan and very much enjoyed family cookouts and gatherings. Patricia Gail Welch of Rising Sun died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Bel Air Health and Rehab. She was 44.
She was born in Elkton n February 15, 1970. Mrs. Welch retired from Bayside Community Network, Elkton, where she worked as a counselor. She enjoyed collecting angels. Gary Wayne Weaver of Mountain City, Tenn., formerly of North East, died December 24, 2014. He was 67. He was born May 4, 1947. Mr. Weaver served his country in the U.S. Army as well as served his community at the local fire department. He served for 40 years and led the department as president during the initial addition of the recreation hall. During his working years, he was a career man at Chrysler Corp., Newark, Del., where he worked his way through the ranks and led many departments throughout. He retired in 1994 after 30 years of service. Dustin Allen Mitchell of North East died on December 26, 2014 after fighting a long, hard battle with Cystic Fibrosis. He was 27. He was born in Havre de Grace, on May 31, 1987. Mr. Mitchell worked at Cooper’s Market, Elkton. He enjoyed video games, pool, bowling and fishing. He believed in always being a good friend and loved spending time with his family and friends. Terry Anthony "Rocky" James, formerly of Perryville, died Thursday, December 4, 2014. He was 53. Born July 5, 1961 in Havre de Grace, he was the son of Bernard L. James, Sr., of Perryville, and the late Caroline (Lena) Williams James. He is survived by his father, Bernard James, Sr.; three brothers, Bernard James, Jr., Dwight James, Michael James (Denise); two sisters, Brenda James Jones (Tyrone), Frances Epps (Thomas); uncles, Harold James, Leon Hall, Sr. (Dorothy); aunts, Lorraine Holman, Gloria James, Rosa Lee Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary Nell Tilley Kincaid of Port Deposit died Thursday, December 25, 2014 in Calvert Manor HealthCare Center, Rising Sun. She was 92.
Born March 15, 1922 in Mt. Airy, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Charles Blaine and Fannie Henrietta Coleman Tilley. Mrs. Kincaid was retired from Edgewood Arsenal where she was employed as an administrative secretary. In her younger days, she was a civilian pilot, an avid golfer for most of her life, and enjoyed horseback riding. Shirley K. Thompson of Glen Mills, Pa. died at home Wednesday, December 24, 2014. She was 81. Born in Washington, Pa., on October 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William Wayne and the late Isabel (Dague) Johnston. Until her retirement, Mrs. Thompson worked as an administrative assistant, for State Farm Insurance, Newark, Del. She was a founding and active member of Town Point Methodist Church in Port Herman, until her move to Maris Grove, Glen Mills. She enjoyed writing; including poems, stories and keeping a lifelong journal. She also enjoyed swimming, crafts and a love for her cats. Dorothy Mae Kane Lindsey of Independence Way, Delaware, died at Elkton Care and Rehab Center, Elkton, Md., on Monday, December 22, 2014. She was 90. Mrs. Lindsey was born in Chester, a daughter of the late Harry and Grace Simmons Kane. She worked as a cashier at the A&P Supermarket, and was later a teller for a PNC branch bank in Newark, Del. Mrs. Lindsey attended Kemblesville United Methodist Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder, Newark, Del. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and won trophies in waltz competitions. Edith Ann Rasnake of Elkton died at home Saturday, December 20, 2014. She was 69.
Born in Elkton on September 20, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John Arthur and the late Edith Elizabeth (Cline) Frederick. She was an owner and administrative assistant for Delmarva Steel. Mrs. Rasnake was a member of The North East Church of God. She enjoyed swimming in her pool and traveling. David R. Brown of Elkton, formerly of Perryville, died December 18, 2014. He was 59. He was born on October 16, 1955 in Havre de Grace to Avis C. Brown and the late Carleton W. Brown. Mr. Brown was a resident of Abbey Manor Assisted Living. Despite his limitations due to autism, he graduated from the sheltered workshop and group home that are now part of the Bayside Community Network. He lived independently in his own apartment for 30 years, drove a car, and proudly worked as a custodian at the I-95 rest stop for 20 years. |
