Elizabethtown’s Mackenzie Hommaker scored a goal in each half as the Bears defeated the Mules, 2-0 in the pasture on Monday, September 11. Hommaker’s first goal came late, at the 1:30 mark of the first half on an assist from Sharri Kambesis, who again set up Hommaker at the 9:15 mark of the second half. by Bud Hart

Solanco's cross country teams opened their season at home on Tuesday, September 5, with the boys defeating Lebanon 15-55 and losing to McCaskey 19-38. The girls defeated Lebanon 15-55, and suffered a 15-46 loss to the Tornado. by Bud Hart

Solanco’s young and inexperienced tennis team suffered three losses this past week, a 7-0 defeat to Cedar Crest at home, a 5-2 loss to Garden Spot at New Holland, and a 7-0 defeat at Pequea Valley. On Friday, September 1, the Mules opened up their season hosting the Pottstown Trojans, a District I team from out of the Pioneer Athletic Conference’s Frontier Division.
