Going into the season coach Tony Mendez knew the season would be a challenge. “We are lacking experience,” wrote Mendez. “We lost seven seniors last year and with that lost a lot of experience. Losing Jackson Houghton doesn’t help as well.” The sophomore was nursing an injured hand and returned later in the week.

With a 64-46 win in a crossover game with the Donegal Indians, the Mules opened their 2018-19 league season at Mount Joy, on Friday, December 14. Leading 30-25 at the half, Solanco outscored the home team 34-21 in the second half of play to win handily.
