Paige “Pete” Arnold Harrington of Rising Sun died at home Wednesday, May 27, 2015. He was 88. Born September 22, 1926 in Neligh, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Arnold B. and Grace Eva Hale Harrington. Mr. Harrington was a veteran of the United States Army. He is a retired Supervisor of Radiology at the United States Department of Veteran Affairs, Perry Point. Mr. Harrington is survived by his daughter, Susan A. (Harrington) Hasson and husband, Norman H. Hasson, Jr.; step-daughter, Beverly J. Leonard; step-son, Leonard R. Jackson; granddaughters, Jodi S. Frazier and husband, Tony, Kimberly P. Britton and husband, Frank; five great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; one step-great great grandchild; step-sisters, Patsy Cress, Nancy Worthington and Bonnie Mooney.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Ellen Tome Harrington; second wife, Helen B. Jackson Harrington; brothers, Hale Harrington and Dean Harrington; sisters, Hilma Petersen and Mary Alice Ognacevic; and step-brother, Frank Cox. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 11 a.m., at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, June 1, 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Pastor Drew Christian of Janes United Methodist Church of Rising Sun will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O.
