Michael L. Kyte of North East died Monday, August 5, 2013 at Union Hospital, Elkton. He was 46. He was born in Havre de Grace, on October 30, 1966. He was a self-employed carpenter, for MLR Contractors. Mr. Kyte was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Mason Dixon Post 194, Rising Sun, and the AMA. He enjoyed racing four wheelers, baseball, golf and ‘cutting a rug’ on the dance floor.
Mr. Kyte is survived by his daughter, Rachel A. Kyte of Elkton; father: John W. Kyte, Sr. of Rising Sun; four siblings, John W. Kyte, II of Elkton, Kathy L. Hines of North East, Pamela J. Maxwell of Elkton, and David C. Kyte of North East; his companion, Carol Melber of Rising Sun; the mother of Rachel: Lisa K. of Elkto; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee (Reynolds) Simmons; his maternal grandparents, George M. and Viola M. Reynolds; and his paternal grandparents, Conley and Villa Kyte Funeral services were held Friday, August 9, 2013 from Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East.
