Charles “Amey” Gosden Todd of Perryville, died at home Monday, May 23, 2016. He was 86. Born November 28, 1929 in Perryville, he was the son of the late Elbert W. and Marguerite Arbaugh Todd. Mr. Todd was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Perryville Volunteer Fire Company, the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, and the V.F.W. Post No. 8126 of Havre de Grace. Mr. Todd was retired from the Aberdeen Proving Ground, where he was employed as a civilian gunner.
He is survived by his son, Jeffery W. Butler; daughters, Luerena K. Daugherty and Kathleen E. Todd; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Lester Todd; and a sister, Sue Stern. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane J. Butler Todd. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 28, 11 a.m., at the Perryville Volunteer Fire Company. Visitations for family and friends will be held Friday, May 27, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at the Perryville Volunteer Fire Company. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Asbury United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, will officiate. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, Port Deposit.
