Laws Tiller, a lifelong county resident, died November 5, 2015. He was 93. He was born February 21,1922, son of the late Louise (Adams) and Benjamin Tiller. He was a longtime member of Reeds AUMP Church, North East. As a trustee and father of the church, he was a faithful member for many years until his illness. He was born and raised in Chesapeake City, where he attended school. Mr. Tiller served in the Army during World War II. He retired from Perry Point VA Hospital, Perry Point, where he worked as a chef and supervisor for over 30 years. Carolyn Boyd Meekins of North East died Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in Union Hospital, Elkton. She was 69.
Born in Rising Sun on November 17, 1945, she was the daughter of the late E.K. and the late Georgia (Duvall) Boyd. She was a medical secretary for 23 years for Perry Point VA Medical Center and for Drs. Hensgen, Moondra and Funican. Miriam Eleanor Butler of North East died Tuesday, November 3, 2015. She was 95.
Born in Hooversville, Pa. on September 18, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Otho and the late Verna (Lape) Friend. Mrs. Butler was a telephone operator for C & P Telephone and a homemaker. Rebecca Ann Gill of North East died at home Tuesday, October 6, 2015. She was 58.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born on June 17, 1957, daughter of the late Oliver Lee and the late Nellie May (Adkins) Gill. She began attending the day program at Chesapeake Care Resources (CCR) in April, 1991, and in October 1992, CCR became her home. Lynne Gail Bradham, 62, of Elkton, MD, formerly of Oxford, PA, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Born in Newark, DE she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Frances Jones Bradham. Lynne was employed with Action Manufacturing, Atglen, PA. She enjoyed the beach and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. |
